Indexing and Archiving
Indexing, Discoverability and Archiving
Avicenna Journal of Clinical and Translational Medicine
AJCTM is committed to improving the discovery, accessibility, citation, and long-term availability of its published scholarly content.
The journal distinguishes between indexing, search-engine discovery, persistent identifiers, and independent digital preservation.
1. Current Indexing Status
AJCTM is developing its publishing record and indexing arrangements. No inclusion in a selective database is claimed without independent confirmation from that service.
Inclusion in DOAJ, Scopus, Web of Science, MEDLINE, or PubMed Central will be announced only after verification through the relevant official database or journal record.
2. Search and Article Discoverability
The journal aims to make published articles discoverable through accessible article webpages, accurate metadata, indexing-compatible publishing infrastructure, and relevant scholarly search services.
Appearance in Google or Google Scholar does not constitute inclusion in a selective bibliographic database.
3. Persistent Identifiers
AJCTM seeks to provide reliable, persistent identification of published articles.
A DOI will be displayed for an article only after it has been successfully registered and can be resolved to the appropriate publication.
DOI registration is distinct from indexing in scholarly databases.
4. Digital Preservation
AJCTM aims to develop appropriate arrangements for the secure preservation of article files, supplementary materials, journal metadata, and issue records.
Third-party archiving services will be named as operational only after participation and active content deposit are verified.
The journal's internal backup arrangements should not be interpreted as independently verified long-term archiving.
5. Indexing and Preservation Updates
This page will be updated whenever a service confirms the journal's inclusion or an active preservation arrangement is established.
Official database links will be provided where available so that readers and authors can independently verify the journal's status.
